Frequently asked questions.
The questions we get most often. If yours isn't here, ask Chris.
About our service area
Do you service my area?
We work across Stanthorpe and the broader Southern Downs region — including Allora, Glen Aplin, Ballandean, Killarney, Applethorpe and Warwick. If you're not sure whether we cover your suburb or town, just get in touch and we'll let you know straight away — no runaround.
Can you handle multiple jobs in one go?
That's exactly our strength. We can take on the fence, the micro cement, the yard, a pressure-clean and the handyman jobs as one project — one point of contact, one quote, one team on the job.
Quoting and pricing
Are quotes free?
Yes, quotes are always free. We aim to get a fixed quote back to you within 48 hours of your enquiry. No obligation, no pushy follow-up.
Do you require a deposit?
For larger jobs like a custom fence or micro cement install, we do ask for a deposit to cover materials before work starts. The deposit amount and payment schedule will be clearly laid out in your written quote before you commit to anything.
Do you offer any warranty or guarantee on your work?
We stand behind the work we do. If something isn't right after we've finished, let us know and we'll come back and fix it. Specific warranty terms vary by job type and will be included in your quote documentation.
The custom fence
What makes the Custom Fence different from a regular fence?
The custom fence is our own signature system — designed and built exclusively by Superior Home Improvements. You won't find it through any other contractor or supplier. It's designed for Queensland conditions and is available in styles to suit most residential properties across Stanthorpe and the Southern Downs.
Is the Custom Fence available in Stanthorpe and surrounds?
Yes — we install the custom fence throughout Stanthorpe and the wider Southern Downs region. Travel to regional areas may be factored into the quote. Get in touch and we'll confirm availability for your location.
Booking and process
Do you take on small one-off jobs?
Yes. A single afternoon of yard work, a small concrete job, a rubbish run or an odd repair is no problem — that's the bread and butter of the handyman side. No job's too small to ring about.
How do I book or get started?
The easiest way is to use our contact form or give us a call. You can also use the chat widget on the site. We'll get back to you within one business day to discuss the job and arrange a quote.
Who actually does the work?
Chris does. You deal with the same person from the first quote through to the job being finished — no call centre, no subbies you've never met turning up at the door.
Still got a question?
Send it through the chat, the contact form, or give Chris a ring. We'll come back to you within one business day with a real answer.
